Fantail is led by our principal consultant, Martin Tanner, an award-winning learning designer and facilitator with over 30 years' experience in adult education and training. We have a network of associates in the North and South Islands of Aotearoa New Zealand. Our associates include graphic designers, coaches and facilitators who bring a wealth of experience to their role.

Martin Tanner

Martin's strength is designing and delivering training that makes a practical difference to people and the places they work. He has extensive education management experience in Europe, Asia and New Zealand with a focus on teacher training and professional support for L&D practitioners.
He has developed a wide range of award-winning programmes, from facilitated leadership courses to immersive digital solutions. Martin is able to bring content to life through the energy and enthusiasm he brings to facilitation.Martin is an advocate for experiential learning. He is a published researcher and gained a Masters in Adult Literacy Education in 2014. Martin has extensive business experience, particularly in the finance, manufacturing (FMCG), logistics, regulatory and professional services sectors. Nicola Woodward

As Founder of the unique RISE Model of Influence, Nicola is passionate about helping leaders and teams transform natural human influence from a cultural risk into a strategic strength.
With over three decades senior management and leadership experience in the UK and Aotearoa New Zealand, Nicola is an award-winning CEO who has led multiple transformations in the For Purpose and Public Sector. Her collaborative approach engages the strengths and perspectives of all stakeholders, ensuring collective buy-in, action and sustainable, impactful results.
Nicola has a passion for developing the strengths of others through training and facilitation. She has accreditations from the NeuroLeadership Institute and is an Emotional Culture Deck practitioner.

Kath Hartley
Kath has over 30 years' experience in senior HR & OD roles, having led OD functions across telecommunications, health, insurance and energy sectors. She is a leadership coach and mentor across all levels of leadership, recognised for her ability to help people move from insight to action - adapting mindsets and developing behaviours.
Kath approaches her work with a passion for learning and a drive to help individuals and organisations succeed through simple, effective and relevant people-focused solutions.
Kath is accredited to deliver the Leadership Profile 360 Feedback, is MBTI certified, has ICF Coaching certification and has a range of accreditation from Human Synergistics (OCI,OEI,LSI/GSI).
Janelle Marsters

Janelle is an exceptional graphic designer and photographer. She runs Ngareta Creative, a design firm based in Rotorua named after her great grandmother's, daughter's and her own middle name. Janelle's family whakapapa to Te Arawa (Ngāti Whakaue), Tainui, Ngāi Tahu, Tuwharetoa and Ngāti Kahungunu.
She has over 16 years experience in design and brings a wealth of insight and creativity to her work. She also has a great love for photography, a passion that intensified once she had her own children and which now finds outlet in her work photographing families, couples, weddings, events and commercial content for businesses.
